This is a hard time for every industry – and ours is no different. Some state-run hatcheries have reduced hours or suspended operations due to government closures, social distancing measures, and other required protocols.
Our Crocheron hatchery is in a remote part of Maryland and able to safely operate during Covid-19 closures. To help meet the needs of oyster farmers so critical to our nation’s food supply, we’ve established extra hygiene and health protocols to keep our production going strong throughout the season.

That’s why our hatchery team is hard at work launching the spawning season. We’ll continue to produce top-quality seed to keep farms stocked and gap-free.
During this time, all seed pick ups will be conducted from our fabrication plant in Cambridge Maryland to minimize unnecessary hatchery traffic. Out-of-state orders will be shipped via FedEx as usual.
