Sales & Production Manager
Chuck Coleman, the driving force behind our sales and production endeavors within the equipment division at Hoopers Island Oyster Company. With experience in the oyster industry spanning many years, Chuck brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. Beyond his role here, Chuck is also the proud owner and operator of Johnson Bay Oyster Co., showcasing his passion for aquaculture. His dedication and experience, ensures that our operations not only meet but exceed industry standards, driving us towards continued success. In his spare time, you can find Chuck rooting for the Baltimore Orioles! Go Birds!
Hunter Rose
Fabrication Tech
Hunter Rose, is a valuable addition to our Fabrication Division at Hoopers Island Oyster Co. Hunter recently completed the DCTC Welding Program, graduating with numerous certifications, demonstrating his dedication to his craft. In Hunter's spare time, you can find him rooting for his Baltimore Ravens!
Jordan Shockley
Chief Executive Officer
Inspired by generations of watermen – and motivated to help restore the Chesapeake Bay in his career – Jordan spent summers at the University of Maryland’s Horn Point Laboratory. Working side by side with scientists, he learned to spawn and raise oysters while earning a biology degree from Salisbury University. Prior to starting BOE, Jordan held a variety of positions including Nursery Manager and Oyster Production Manager for Hoopers Island Oyster Company. As CEO, he oversees daily operations within Blue Oyster and Hoopers Island Oyster, including credit aggregation and grow out operations. On days that Jordan isn't on the farm, you can find him shooting over par at the local golf course or coaching his son's T-ball team.
Megan Shockley
Marketing Director
Megan Shockley, the Marketing Director at Hoopers Island Oyster Company & Blue Oyster Environmental, works diligently ensuring effective communication and representation of our brands. With a background in education and a passion for environmental conservation, Megan manages our digital presence, coordinates events and educational opportunities in addition to serving as our primary media liaison. In Megan's spare time, you can catch her spending time outside with her boys or chasing after her dogs, Theo & Gus!
Ryan Henry
Fabrication Tech
Ryan Henry, joins Hoopers Island Oyster Co. bringing a fresh perspective and strong work ethic to our Fabrication Division as a technician. Ryan is a recent graduate of the DCTC Welding Program, showing dedication to his craft through the attainment of numerous certifications. On days that Ryan is out of the shop, you can find him cheering for his Baltimore Orioles! Go Birds!
Troy Townsend
Fabrication Manager
Troy Townsend, is the talent behind the fabrication process of our oyster processing and grow-out equipment at Hoopers Island Oyster Company. With over 35 years of hands-on experience as a fabricator and welder, Troy brings great expertise to our team. His keen eye for detail and commitment to quality ensure that each piece of equipment crafted under his supervision is nothing short of exceptional.
On his days out of the shop, you can find Troy on a golf course or rooting for his San Francisco 49ers!
